About Us

Here at Fairhaven, we promote the concepts of classical riding. For me, classical riding means using and teaching methods that have been around since the early beginnings of riding, and not anything that's "trendy" or for style only but has no purpose.
Although I am aware of and respect the differences between disciplines and also teach my students those differences, regardless of discipline, the basics of good riding are the same (universal).
Since the time of Xenophon, classical riders have promoted the concept of "for the good of the horse" and here at Fairhaven, we won't do or teach anything that contradicts that. Lessons at Fairhaven usually alternate between flat, stadium, xc, conditioning and/or a combination of two (Example: lateral work on a long narrow trail) to keep the horses body and mind will rounded. We also incorporate games into the lessons to reinforce proper riding techniques in a fun way. Example: balancing a ring on top of your helmit makes you sit up while zig zagging through pilons.
I enjoy teaching as much as I love learning and often learn by teaching! I actively take lessons, compete, participate in clinics, read industry magazines, blogs and websites. I am an active member of the United States Eventing Association, the Georgia Combined Training Association, the American Riding Instructor Association, and the United States Equestrian Association. The barn is also inspected and approved for operation by the State of Georgia.
Lessons "Weather you simply want to ride more safely, communicate with your horse more effectively, or ride to the highest levels in the show ring,

Working with other people's horses is my profession, not my hobby and I treat it as such. I conscientiously dedicate my time and energy to prividing accurate information, videos, phone calls, and emails to find/make good matches before a buyer ever leaves their house. additionally, I budget 2-3 hours per visit. Fairhaven accepts consignment horses. Fairhaven Farm strictly enforces honest representation of our horses and ponies.

Easy to ride and what a packer!!! Super amateur dressage horse with wonderful gaits. He has a lot of talent and will be wonderful to teach an amateur who is interested in a dressage career. Weinbrand has been trained to second level with very nice lateral work. He has a great personality and loves to get attention. Weinbrand has been around the block so he does everything that a show horse should do including adapting to new environments quickly and taking everything in stride. In his previous career, he was schooling Intermediate and about to do his first Prelim HT. He will jump the moon but due to mild navicular changes he can now only jump small. He is SOUND and being sold as a dressage horse. He stays sound on correct shoeing. $5800
